Mark 10:46-52
Bartimaeus Receives His Sight

46Then they came to Jericho And as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a blind beggar named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road.

47When he heard that it was Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48Many were sternly telling him to be quiet, but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

49And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him here.” So they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take courage, stand up! He is calling for you.”

50Throwing aside his cloak, he jumped up and came to Jesus.

51And answering him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!”

52And Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.

The last Sunday gospel touched me very much, especially during these full-of-hopes moment of life..
How many times, we, as a human, could really plant our faith to God..? Won’t we, instead, be experiencing the ups and downs and finally falling to the ground of restlessness? The faith was there when we were enlightened with His work, however, the faith faded out when we felt overwhelmed.

And this is exactly what I feel right now..

Few months ago I was always convinced with my relationship with God, for He is the only hope and my powerful breath of life. However now.., I feel like falling apart to the ground and losing a guidance I once had.
I am sure though, that I will find my way one day, .. I just have to rise and build up the grip, and will not let anything set me apart from Him. He’s with me, every second of my life, He never leaves me, His work is real, .. Take me with You, Lord, let my Faith blooms and guide me to Your wonderful plans.

Prayer: Lord, I come to You now, every morning, and every night, I try to look for You, but somehow I lost my way.
I know that it is not You who left me, it was me who sometimes trying to solve everything with my humanly strength, which I believe it might not be actually good for me. But, Lord, You know the best! Please come into light and touch my heart, to just have the FAITH in You, for I will be saved. I need Your miracle, Lord. As before.. I know Your help is never too late.

Romans 4:7

Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered.

I really do not know where to start..
When I think about sins, it’s an endless thoughts of why, how, and a life blended repentance.
Why did I sin… How did I sin… and Why did I make the same mistakes over and over again..
I remember  one time in my life I was annoyed with myself, ashamed, and refused to receive the blessed sacrament of confessions church suggested. I even, oftentimes, could not finish the Our Father prayer God has taught and share us. I felt I wasn’t worthy, I was a sinful person, would God feel tired and upset to see me at church..?

If I had to confess, I had these endless sins list jotted down, and… not for long after the confession, I made the same mistakes again.. How small my soul was in front of the Almighty..

However, of course from the goodness of our Lord, I found myself restored..I realized that eventhough I was always full loaded with deficiencies, God still gave me chances to find my identity and to appreciate how special God has created me and how beautiful I was in His eyes. He’d never leave me. He’d never look back my lawless deeds. He has forgiven me everytime I confess, and He will never ignore me, and He will always forgive when I come to Him and ask for His forgiveness….

What about us? Have we forgive our friends, family, and other people whom might have hurt us? When someone at work doesn’t appreciate our job, when people in the community babble about our family, when your parents angry at you in no reason perhaps, or when your best friend ignore you one day because of his wealthiness… So many reasons for us to fall into sins.. the question now is, are we going to life in grudge, or try to forgive and move on?

Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered.

Pray: Lord Jesus, you always love us with no conditions, you always welcome us even if we think that we do not deserve your kindness, but in Your eyes Lord, for Your are the vine and we all are Your branches, You will always look after us, and heal us from any pain..
Thank You for all forgiveness,  for the blessings, and for the love. May we, oh Lord, open our hearts to forgive others and let there be no wound in our hearts. Embrace us Lord, with the Holy Spirit, so we can live better each day, only to glorify Your name.

The Kingdom of God

Mark 10:24-25

24The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!

25“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

The above passage sounds very true, especially in this advanced era of living, where people are spoiled with so much choices equivalent to materials.., money, status, and false identity..which all lead us farther from entering the Kingdom of God.

Many people want to be someone else they idolized because of his wealthiness and  successfulness, or being a star because of his gorgeous look, his popularity, or a very promising position of someone at work.

Sadly to realize, “amid to this very competitive world, where all people strive to be the best, they would justify all means to suceed.(by R.A.) This includes corruptions, using the poor and the weak and paying them to play their games, and not to mention ‘black magic for success’.  How sad, isn’t it?

Let us be reminded all the time that when we are called to leave this world, we wouldn’t bring any of those pleasures we had in our life.  Not our money, car, house, job, prestige, and nor our precious passport which has countless stamps on every pages. But it’s our FAITH to salvation from our Lord Jesus, and that would win our trip to His Kingdom.

On last Sunday gospel, written above, we are called to see how important it is to maintain the good relation with God, and again, He endlessly provide us with so many ways to be closer to Him. God invites all of us to join a reunion with Him every Sunday by the Eucharist, He welcomes everyone to be healed from sins through confessions, He teaches us with His prayers, He sends His angels and saints to protect us, He raises His mother to embrace and love His children, … and He loves us with no conditions.

Have we looked around and realized that there are many people lacking of love? The poor who really need our help, our support, shouldn’t we share what God has given to us,..
Are we aware of many neglected people around us? innumerable people are hunger and desperately in need of job….?
Are we touched by the spirit of people who already feel blessed with what they have and not seeking for abundant life?
How many times in a day.. or in a week.. that we say ” I am glad Lord.. I am grateful Lord.. I am blessed Lord..” and thanking Him for the goodness in life.

Let us say it often now, and let’s hope that we all will enter the promised Kingdom of God.

*Thanks Reg for the inspiration, hope we all can share peace to one another and make the world a better place to live*

worries will never do

Worries! it ain’t lead us closer to happiness
Worries! fades away our Faith
Worries! brings us to anxiety and lacking of confidence
Worries! separates us from the goodness God has given
Worries! will never do…

Let’s look closer of our daily routines.

We wake up, wash up, and get ready to our activities. Have we forgotten to thank the Lord to be able to wake up this morning and feel the warmth from the family? or Would you worry that you might not be in the office on time?

We head to work, meet our colleagues, do our work, perhaps have some work meeting with your boss, and make sure that today’s schedule will be well accomplished. Have we forgotten to thank our colleagues for the help, support, or even simply appreciative comment someone made? or Would you worry that the materials prepared for the meeting might not perfectly be accepted to your boss and colleagues?

We rush to our home, despite the traffic and exhausted feeling, meet our family, have dinner together, perhaps reviewing our diary and agenda for tomorrow, and off to bed. Have we forgotten to thank the Lord for His being with you and your family today? or Would you worry that you children might disturb you for having a quiet time to focus on finishing up the report for tomorrow?

Martha and Mary
Luke 10:38-42

38Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.

39She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word.

40But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.”

41But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things;

42but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

God has given us all the necessaries to live good. He has planned from the beginning for us, and our family, to experience His good works. He is even willing to take over our burdens and to make them beautiful. Why do we worry?

In our 24hours of day, God never sleeps. In the morning, He makes sure that we could open our hearts and feel the love from the family, He walks us out from our home and reach the office. He helps us at work and confirm we’re secured. He drives us home safely to meet our family.. He listens to every prayer in the family, and He watches us at night and ensure that we have a good rest.

When we take  God and His words in our family, and always put our hopes and surrender our life to Him, then there’s not even one reason for us to worry! for He never failed on us!

Just like Mary, she has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
